Faced with the threat of a worse outcome, a lot of rational people who should not be in the UK have chosen to self-deport themselves to Ireland.
That this cannot go on is obvious. That if it does go on much worse will follow is something that a blind man – even one blinded by pepper spray – could see.
Not coincidentally, it must be suspected, the new Taoiseach has pledged to sort the issue of RTE funding before the next election
If this were simply a one-off, one might regard it as simply an unusual, if concerning development, and move on. But it is not a one-off.
