The wildest footage of Storm Barra so far

Storm Barra closed all the schools today and hit the country with a bang. Here’s some of the wildest footage of the Red Alert storm so far.

Seán Mac an tSíthigh of TG4 captured the sea this morning in West Kerry. “Fiantas farraige i gCorca Dhuibhne. WILD WILD WILD in West Kerry,” he wrote.

Dublin Fire Brigade showed trees down on Collins Avenue and said telephone cables have been pulled down.

There’s a wheelie bin in Cork Harbour.

Photographer Eddie Dee captured this set of images from Waterford.

Then  there was the obligatory trampoline blown up on a wall video – this one from Kilkenny is pretty dramatic though.

Mica Redress campaigners had this sobering reminder that Storm Barra could be worse from some than for others.

“How do you protest a crumbling wall to protect yourself from Storm Barra,” local activist Paddy Diver asked.

 Stay Safe everyone.
