An eye witness to what seems like a deliberate attack in Western Berlin this morning has described what he saw as ‘carnage’ as a car ploughed into people in a busy shopping area of the city.
At least one person has been killed and up to 30 more injured.
Shocked observers notes that it happened next to the Breitscheidplatz square, where an Islamic extremist previously carried out a vehicle attack on a Christmas market in 2016, killing 11 people and injuring dozens more.
