Women in Finglas have protested inside the local Garda station following the alleged sexual assault of a woman in the area in the early hours of last Friday morning.
It is believed that the woman had been dropped off in a taxi near the Cappagh Road while she was coming home before the alleged attack happened.
Local TD Dessie Ellis described the alleged attack as “absolutely horrific”. Speaking to the Irish Sun, he said: “It’s a horrific situation and I just hope that the Gardai will get on top of this.
Gardaí said that investigating an alleged assault that occurred in the early hours of Friday morning 27th January 2023. No arrests have yet been made, they said, but investigations are ongoing.
