Planned Parenthood’s refusal to separate its abortion business from healthcare means it will now be excluded from the Title X program, costing the abortion provider $60 million in taxpayer funding. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected an attempt by Planned Parenthood, the American Medical Association and 20 states to overturn the ruling, as the Trump administration intensifies efforts to maintain distinctions between abortion provision and women’s healthcare.

President and CEO of Americans United for Life, Catherine Glenn Foster, said “women who need true healthcare will have their needs met by authentic and eager healthcare providers across America.”

Planned Parenthood has vowed to fight the decision, not ruling out further court action against the decision.
