There’s a lot of positives to be said about Musk’s commitment to giving people a platform. But there’s an obvious case to be made that said platform should not extend to computer programs automatically shilling pornography to children, and others who don’t want to see it.
She can’t make herself out to be a defender of free speech when used the devil’s own Platform, social media, to shut down somebody whom she disapproved of, most especially because she did not understand what he was saying.
The bill is at once going to do nothing, so you don’t need to worry, and at the same time going to save us from the likes of Gavin Pepper.
Thus, the contortions: The transparent attempt, having spent years accusing everybody else of “dog-whistling”, to learn how to do it themselves.
