That would be the politicians.
Spending spree. Again.
The only thing that is given away when it comes to government ministers drawing up budgets is our money.
The point here isn’t even to win student votes. The point is instead to demonstrate a Government assiduously considering every area in which a saving may be made.
We get what we vote for. And we vote, reliably, for utterly insipid statements like the one Deputy Harris made yesterday.
That is an indictment of the political record. One we do not talk about enough. A pound of butter should not cost €5.50.
