Call President Trump and tell him there’s bad news from Ireland.
In what will be a devastating blow to his presidency Justine McCarthy of the Irish Times has declared that she will not be venturing to the land of the free anytime soon, as “why venture where you are not wanted.”
You can only imagine the desolation in the White House, the wailing and gnashing of teeth from sea to shining sea. How will Americans from the broken Mexican border to the Mason-Dixon line all the way to Canada cope? It’s an extra seat for inauguration day, although as my American friend told me yesterday who has booked her ticket – Washington DC is too cold for you Laura. Don’t even think about it. But President Kennedy got through the whole thing without a coat, I pointed out.
Anyway, as I said, McCarthy won’t be flying to DC for inauguration day, but I doubt she will be missed. She explained her position in a quite despicable piece of journalism which declared that Afghani women would probably think twice when fleeing the Taliban and seeking refugee in the United States. “Just imagine you were a woman trying to flee the Taliban’s Afghanistan and picking a country in which to seek refuge. Would you stick your pin in the USA as the safest harbour on Earth? I would think twice, at least.”
Listen I understand the folks down the Irish Times are upset. But this is why editors exist – to reign in the deranged, the awful and the deeply offensive. Imagine actually typing that line, knowing women are stoned to death in Afghanistan, and cannot even speak outside their home under their hideous burka, and think yes, I stand by this comparison. Despicable doesn’t come close. Justine has moved through her first stages of grief, straight past denial and firmly to anger. It isn’t pretty.
In fairness, she does point out President Trump’s obvious and long-standing flaws. He can be nasty, he can be nasty to women, and she wonders why, in the light of all this, anyone could vote for him over Harris. On Harris she states the “woman is cleverer, younger, more energetic, more articulate and comfortable enough in her own skin not to plaster it with orange tan.”
McCarthy’s character analysis of President Trump may be accurate, but her description of Vice President Harris is not. There are plenty of Democrats now stating the obvious – she was a truly awful candidate which is why she never got through the Democratic primary in 2020. Who would vote for this dim – wit, a cackling hyena who clearly knows very little. You can’t send her in against Putin or the Chinese. She’d be sliced and diced like the cats of Springfield. The sheer inhumanity of it.
What we do know is that despite Trump’s obvious flaws, he ran the better election campaign. People in their millions and millions voted for Trump, 73,407,735 votes in all. Women broke for him in greater numbers than the first time around, “compared to his last run, Trump did better with both young men and young women” These are the young women whom Justine McCarthy labels are “brainwashed into thinking they really are the weaker sex.” Other brainwashed groups included blacks and Latinos. “Latino men, in particular, veered hard to the right.”
In amongst the rage, McCarthy says, “political analysts pored over a cornucopia of reasons why Donald Trump has been elected to the White House for a second term. It was the economy. It was immigration. It was the price of groceries. It was fear of war (seriously!)” Exactly. These are the reasons they voted for President Trump.
But McCarthy seems to think the price of gas is not important to the ordinary American – which I think says more about her than anyone else. She seems to think that the household grocery bill should not be a motivator when it comes to electing a President. Or indeed the fact that out-of-control elites have been destroying the country with out of control immigration for years. Justine doesn’t care about these issues, so she can’t understand why Americans care. The arrogance, the absolute privilege of dismissing these concerns out of hand. Out of touch doesn’t come close.
Let’s talk about immigration shall we? Let’s ask ourselves why would Latino men break hard for Trump when policy number one is to shut down illegal immigration. Because unlike Justine, these Latinos live with the consequences of illegal immigration and they don’t like it. They don’t like their wages undercut and they don’t like their communities destroyed by gangs of criminal cartels that they themselves have fled from.
Justine continues, “Whether it’s the religious right, the anti-abortion, pro-woman-in the-home lobby or racist agitators purporting to “protect our women” from the clutches of immigrants whom they despicably brand as “rapists”, there is an ultraconservative yearning to return to the misty-eyed olden times when men were the hunters-gatherers and women showed them their gratitude.”
Let’s just do the immigration issue, as you are still licking your wounds from your stupid family referendum defeat. What is truly despicable is the policy of the governing elite to import thousands of military aged men into our shores, no questions asked. As I ask here, “Who really cares about the rights of women and girls? The abortion fanatics that support abortion up to birth but are happy to support an open border policy, or those that ask questions about the number of unvetted migrant men coming in?”
They executed this policy with no mandate, diminishing the culture of each individual country (whether Ireland, the UK, the US or Europe) and they have done this despite the threat to women. Yes a minority of illegal immigrants are rapists and as I say in this piece we have plenty of our own rapists so I don’t know why we need to import more.
What was despicable was the murder of Ashling Murphy by a foreign national Jozef Puska. What was despicable was the stabbing of a schoolgirl in Parnell Square by a foreign national. What was despicable was the brutal rape of a young student in Cork by 41-year-old Moldovan Mihail Ciorici, reported last week. What is truly despicable are the politicians and their media enablers who support a policy such as mass migration causing these crimes against women and girls. That is the despicable position to hold – in fact it’s downright disordered.
So yes they voted for Trump in their millions, the men, the women, the Latino men, more black men than ever, even the young women and the white suburban moms. Because only the left and their disordered view of the world that includes but it is not limited to, chopping the balls of young boys when they express a preference for dresses; putting rapist in women’s prisons and men in women’s sports; importing dangerous criminals from abroad; trashing the economy; the racist DEI policies; and believing that everything is racist while letting black neighbourhoods be destroyed by left wing thugs, could make Trump seem like the normal choice. President Trump was the only choice for Americans who love their country.
This resounding defeat is firmly on the left and their crazy policies of the last decade. They made President Trump normal. That’s the truth they must now acknowledge.
Justine McCarthy doesn’t want to go to America. That works out well as millions of Americans don’t want her or her world view. I hope she buckles up for the next four years because Trump is only getting started.
