A Freedom of Information request from a Gript reader has revealed that despite the new hardline being touted by the new Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan that he revoked 40 deportation orders in the first month of his taking office.
The reader had requested “The amount of deportation orders revoked by the Minister of Justice Jim O’Callaghan from date of appointment 28th Jan 2025 to currently”.
