Tánaiste Simon Harris has pledged that the government will deliver “the largest increase in prison capacity in the history of the state”, insisting that “crime has to have a significant consequence.”
Speaking at the National Ploughing Championship earlier this week, the Fine Gael leader said that addressing youth crime and law and order requires examining the issue “in the round.”
