A man who was found in possession of images depicting the sexual abuse of children contrary to the Child Trafficking and Pornography Act 1998 has avoided jail after appearing at the CircuitCriminal Court today.
Jim Costello (54) of Whitehall Dublin 9 initially denied knowledge of the material which was recovered from his phone and laptop after officers from the Online Child Exploitation Unit within the Garda National Protective Services Bureau received an intelligence package prompting them to carry out a search of his home.
