Regarding Ireland’s upcoming vote on the role of women in society, it is “nearly impossible” for the Irish Left “to be enthusiastic about this referendum,” according to one TD, who expressed her worry that the whole operation may fail – though we’ll come back to that in a moment.
The referendum is set to take place on March 8th, which is International Women’s Day, and proposes amending Article 41 of the Irish constitution to modify the following section:
