“Hundreds of unaccompanied children have arrived from Ukraine seeking asylum,” TD finds

Minister for Justice Helen McEntee has confirmed to Independent TD Carol Nolan that approximately 315 unaccompanied minors arrived at Dublin Airport who subsequently indicated they wished to register as Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTPs).

The numbers refer to the period from the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The minister was responding to a parliamentary question from the Laois Offaly TD where she asked if the Department of Justice could provide data on the number of unaccompanied minors who have arrived at Dublin Airport for each of the years 2019 to date; the procedures followed by the Department or the border management unit and the Garda National Immigration Bureau when an unaccompanied minor child enters the state without correct identification or no identification.

The total number of unaccompanied children who have arrived at Dublin Airport since 2019 amounts to 588. This included 97 children who claimed international protection in 2022 and 70 such children in 2023.

From January to March of this year a total of 35 children have arrived at Dublin Airport (12 IPAS) (23 BOPTs):

“This is a profoundly serious matter as it relates to extremely vulnerable children arriving here on their own in circumstances that are wide-open to exploitation,” said Deputy Nolan.

“Indeed, we know from research conducted by the European Union Agency for Asylum that unaccompanied children in this category are routinely exposed to increased risks as they may have possibly witnessed extreme forms of violence, exploitation, trafficking in human beings, physical and psychological and sexual abuse before and/or after their arrival in an EU member state.”

“We also know from reporting on this matter by journalists such as Jack Power at the Irish Times there are major concerns around the lack of oversight in Tusla’s management of reports to gardaí of suspected abuse of unaccompanied minors in State care who had come from Ukraine and other countries seeking asylum.”

“I have consistently highlighted my concerns around these matters in the Dáil and with the relevant Minister and I will continue to do so,” concluded Deputy Nolan.

I have noticed that the minister for injustice, tayto has not been very vocal on the hundreds of missing children from tusla either, seems children are a very disposable commodity as they always have been to the kakistocracy. I think the biggest lie out of all the lies was that the minister for injustice and her colleagues pretending to care about all the scammers that come into the country when they are incapable of empathy of any form.

I agree wholeheartedly. No mention of the 200 children missing in Ireland. Could there be a paedophile ring at work. Remember the Kincora Boys Home which was never cleaned up, Mrs May stifiled the investigation. There are many very serious questions regarding the treatment and worse of children in the Ukraine. At some point this is going to be exposed.

I do lorcan and knowing who our masters in the daily really work for I think it’s child sex rings and more. You see I think the lads in the daily were hoping to get away with all this stuff and maybe deal with in 20 years, yunno the usual stuff of ignore it until the old administration are long gone, then have a tribunal to find fault when it’s too late. They are doing the same with COVID as well. The problem is that the same canal controlled the narrative for a hundred ears and they seem to have this behaviour with everything like the people are fools. Magdalene laundry, same thing, mother and baby homes, same thing. All dragged out until nobody is around to answer questions protecting criminals.

How do we knpw these unaccompaied children are from the Ukraine;?
We know many grifters from Africa and SE Asia have entered Ireland without id, just claiming they are Ukrainian or using fake Ukraine Passports which are easily available in that corrupt country.
No real family is about to send a child abroad unaccompanied, to face the perils of the world alone unless it is a Trojan horse tactic as a prelude to a family re-unification scam.
Russian and Ukrainians , have faced a demographic crisis of 1 child families due to economic hardship for decades. that child is precious to them, and is not about to be let go.
This smells of another migration scam caused by the over generous welfare to
‘Ukrainians’ ., naivete and stupiity and lax Border identification controls.

We regret their arrival, but they are only kids, so it is an onus on us to make sure they are protected and that they don’t disappear into the hands of the elite perverts. The important thing is that the Gardaí are kept away from them (they are known to cover elite pedo crime up), and that those kids are protected against the pedos of the Irish elite. A list should be obtained and the well-being of each of them should be regular public property! Those Irish political and elite pedos shame the whole country. We need to remove them from their responsibilities or eject them to the World’s pedo-centre… the USA! The eejit in the injustice ministerium will have to pay for her discretions, particularly ignoring those kids faith… she cannot make herself safe with anti-hate speech laws. They see these laws as a cover up, to stop people talking about their mis-deeds in office. Laws or not… we will become louder and louder and more and more of us!

Are these the black Ukrainian kids or the ones speaking Arabic?

I don’t want to seem unfeeling, but they can and should be accommodated in western Ukraine, where there is very little danger — the people there are like them, and speak their language — Western nations can assist, e.g. with funding or whatever else might help, which will be a lot cheaper.
As long as other countries keep funding his war and his government, as well as taking care of his population, there is less incentive for Zelensky to make peace, which is what he ought to do at this point (and should have done long ago) — the way the West is stoking the slaughter there is one of the more shocking and evil things I’ve seen in my lifetime.

So many questions. But the first one is most important. What adult was responsible for these children boarding whatever mode of transport brought them here?

Come visit our southern border, where children are released into the custody of unchecked and in many cases, complete strangers that the children do not recognize. They end up disappearing and unaccounted for within months. Our border “czarina” is so effective at her job that her response to all this is to shrug her shoulders and cackle. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Just seen a report from the US government on Ukraine:
There were also significant human rights issues involving Ukrainian government officials, . . . which included credible reports of: enforced disappearance; torture and cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment; harsh and life-threatening prison conditions; arbitrary arrest or detention; serious problems with the independence of the judiciary; restrictions on freedom of expression, including for members of the media, including violence or threats of violence against journalists, unjustified arrests or prosecutions of journalists, and censorship; serious restrictions on internet freedom; substantial interference with the freedoms of peaceful assembly and association; restrictions on freedom of movement; serious government corruption; extensive gender-based violence; systematic restrictions on workers’ freedom of association; and the existence of the worst forms of child labor. Some of these human rights issues stemmed from martial law, which continued to curtail democratic freedoms, including freedom of movement, freedom of the press, freedom of peaceful assembly, and legal protections.
The government often did not take adequate steps to identify and punish officials who may have committed abuses.

From Executive Summary of 2023 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices: Ukraine

Is our Minister of Justice even aware of the corruption in Ukraine (this is not Russian or right wing propaganda as it comes from the US state department)? Can she give the Irish public the assurance that all Ukranians coming here will be properly vetted when it appears the government cannot even do this properly with other asylum seekers?

It is time we called for the EU to push for a negotiated end to the war.

The EU are pushing this war. There are many many other very serious reports on the conduct in the Ukraine. It’s the most currupt country in Europe. The EU set up to keep peace in Europe are promoting war. Little Napoleon is constantly
stoking the fire in the Ukraine. Johnson flew out to Turkey to prevent a peace agreement being signed. The idiot from Cork is constantly in the Ukraine and trying to get Ireland to join NATO.

What ages are we talking about: toddlers, 10 year olds or young looking 20 year old adult?

One of the independent media channels wrote a piece a few months back…a lady from Belarus( ! ) bringing groups of minors to Ireland, supposedly from Ukraine. All aged 7-11 ish….very suspect.

Ireland must be the laughing stock of the planet but most definitely all Muslim and African counties. When they get here they have even a greater laugh to see the government fights to protect them rather than the native Irish people.
We look like a nation of fools, maybe we are for allowing the current government to continue ruling.
The kids are here today, the parents will follow to “find” their lost kids and stay… free money, why not

Nolan is probably the best TD in the Dail.
A former Sinn Feiner, she is a model of what SInn Fein could have been like had they not abandoned all principles.
What does it say about Aontu that she didn’t join them? Maybe not too impressed with their pro Mass Immigration stand?

its a mad idea people talking about platation , but it makes me wonder who pays for all these people getting here and who is letting them in,clonmel is swampped with indians more than any other type, no rooms or houses for rent but new faces poping up week in week out . UVF or somebody is shipping them across the north , likes of ryanair and others needs to be held account for people dumping for profit

Would you support a decision by Ireland to copy the UK's "Rwanda Plan", under which asylum seekers are sent to the safe - but third world - African country instead of being allowed to remain here?
