I personally don’t care if Harris backtracks. I’ve seen enough of FF/FG for the last 25 years now that I believe both parties, but also SF, need to be destroyed. Every once in a while we have or need a rebirth of sorts. Whether it be a colossal economic crash, a big war or whatever. I think if we are to have any hope in restoring our sovereignty and repairing the damage done we need to start with a fresh approach from new people or parties that emerge from the Nationalist movement. In deep recessions, once great co’s cease to exist. And the world keeps turning. I think it’s better that they wither away and make room for the new. Some of those with experience can help shape new parties, sure, but not lead them.
I say 25 years, as in the late 90’s the fruits were beginning to bear from groundwork that was done previously by both FF and FG. Then greed was allowed to blow up the housing market and we are still sufferring the fallout today. Backtracking would just be tinkering around the edges. They are all infected and those that aren’t and have stood by all this time may as well be as they lack principles and courage.
I wonder what the situation would be if, from now, we all started to refer to Harris as she or her? If this spread like wildfire, combined with this pending Hate Legislation, it would make a complete mockery of the Taoiseach and the Government. A more help inclusion in their BIOs would be something about their competencies, if any.
FG are somehow missing the point! All these people who claim different genders, want to show they are different than the rest! This takes some of that uniqueness away! By forcing us to address them in a special way, indicating that they are more ‘equal’ than we are (Think of Animal Farm). The historical examples of this are the royals and the nobility, who force their subjects to refer to them as They/them until quite recently. If one didn’t, one would be beheaded! Nowadays, they are cancelling people and in Canada, they want long prison sentences. That’s how crazy the World has become! Can Harris help the World to return to normal? It looks like he is going to make it far worse!
