A mother of four Irish-citizen children has lost a High Court challenge against the refusal of her citizenship application, although the judge criticised aspects of the naturalisation system and highlighted a delay of six years and eight months in processing the application.
The High Court dismissed proceedings brought by Bibiche Lungela against the Minister for Justice, ruling that the citizenship application before the Minister was made solely under the standard naturalisation process.
