A breastfeeding conference which attracted significant controversy when it was revealed that one of the speakers booked had previously written about ‘Lactation for Kinksters’ and men deriving “sexual gratification” from lactation, will now be held online without that speaker.
However, campaigners say that questions remain regarding the role of the impact of state’s policies on inclusion and diversity on such issues – and the “capture” of taxpayer-funded organisations which may be being pressurised to embrace ideas such as “chest feeding” and “male lactation” as evidence of adherence to DEI strategies.
