If you missed out on tickets for Comedy Unleashed in association with Gript, fear not!
After a group of cry bullies pressured the Drogheda venue into cancelling one of the sold out dates, Gript decided to move the event to a venue in Newlands Cross with roughly twice the capacity AND add an extra event to the tour on Saturday the 14th of September.
The cancellation of the Drogheda venue was rather disappointing for two reasons. Firstly, the reaction to the shows amongst subscribers and readers had been extremely positive and losing the Drogheda show means people missing out. Secondly, all the shows had sold out.
Given that we only have two weeks until the event goes ahead the sensible, financially prudent thing to do here would be to simply refund everyone who had bought tickets to the Drogheda show and take the loss.
That would be sensible, reasonable even, but frankly it’ll be a cold day in hell before we let some overly inflated bullies tell us what we can and can’t do, or tell our readers what sort of events they’re allowed to attend. We’re going to double down, and make the planned show bigger.
We’ll already reached out to those of you who had already bought tickets for the Drogheda show shortly, offering either a refund or a ticket for one of the two new shows. Hopefully this won’t cause any of you difficulty, but please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly if it does.
Here are the full list of shows and links to where you can purchase tickets to the ones that are not already sold out.
