Daniel O’Donnell has warned fans not to fall for scammers who are claiming to have information about him.
O’Donnell (or more likely whoever runs his Facebook page) shared images of messenger exchanges between fans of his and his PA with an account which claimed that the singer was in hospital and that the account holder had been speaking to him personally.
At the end of last month, O’Donnell was forced to cancel a show in Cork due to a chest infection.
Online scammers saw an opportunity to take advantage of well meaning fans amid confusion about the cancelled date.

This is the third recent time the star has warned his 288k Facebook followers not to fall for scams.
In July O’Donnell (or whoever runs his page – you get the point!) warned his fans against an account, the owner of which was claiming to be part of his management team.
“Please be careful. Another person trying to scam people. This person has nothing to do with Daniel or his management team”.

Last June O’Donnell posted a video message to his fans “begging” them not to engage with accounts claiming to know or work with him saying he had met a lady in Ohio who had sent money to such an individual.
If anyone contacts you saying they’re me, delete them immediately,” he said.
Last March a post on the page said, “We cannot emphasise enough how many scammers are out there. Please please do not engage in conversation with them. Daniel does not and will not private message people EVER!!”

Also in March, O’Donnell posted another video warning fans not to fall for any “bad person” posing as him.
If your nan is a fan, make sure she hears about this!
