Another potential fly in the ointment of November’s US Presidential election is the Republican Bill to tighten up on the registration of voters. The Bill, Safeguard American Voter Eligibility or SAVE was passed by the House of Representatives in July as a standalone Bill. It will now be voted on in the Senate.
The Bill, if approved by the Senate, will require that all persons registered to vote in November will have produced a valid United States passport or another form of citizenship identification such as a birth certificate, record of military service, or a Federal, State or Native Reserve photo ID.
