There are some claims which are so obviously false and contrary to people’s lived experience, that to even try to pass them off as fact would be the definition of a fool’s errand.
For example, if you’re alone in an elevator with one other person, and you fart, there’s not much point in getting embarrassed and trying to pin the fart on them – something tells me they’re probably not going to buy it. No matter what kind of clever Saul Goodman-esque arguments you manage to conjure up and deliver with all sincerity, the game is well and truly up at that point I’m afraid.
