Over the weekend, Willie O’Dea, Fianna Faíl’s Limerick voting-getting supremo, let loose on Fine Gael’s justice minister, Helen McEntee. He didn’t hold back.
“The worst Minister for Justice in the history of the state,” Willie declared, no doubt having spent the time going through the records. Looking suitably pained, he said that he was “absolutely amazed” to see the Minister “try to reposition herself and her party as the party of law and order and of security”.
