A viral video on social media has drawn attention for showing a Haitian illegal immigrant in the US yelling “F*ck Trump, Biden forever!” as he’s being arrested by American immigration authorities.
The footage was taken during a Fox News report within the first few days of Donald Trump’s second term as US President, with journalists riding along with I.C.E. agents during immigration raids.
“I.C.E.”, or Immigration and Customs Enforcement, is the American law-enforcement agency that specifically deals with immigration-related crime.
During the report, one Haitian man is arrested who I.C.E. reportedly said is an illegal immigrant gang member with 17 previous criminal convictions.
As the man is being arrested and put in a vehicle, he addresses the camera.
“I’m not going back to Haiti!” he says.
“F*ck Trump! You feel me? Yo, Biden forever, bro! Thank Obama for everything he did for me, bro!”
The raids are part of a broader initiative under the renewed Trump administration to crack down on illegal immigration and deport individuals with criminal histories.
During the election campaign, Trump and his allies repeatedly committed to the largest “mass deportation” regime in American history, pledging to deport up to a million illegal immigrants per year, prioritising those who are dangerous.
However, despite these ambitious commitments, the implementation appears to be off to a slow start, with just 538 illegal immigrants deported within Trump’s first 3 days in office.
At the current rate, authorities would only deport 65,457 illegals per year – a far cry from 1 million.
However, border czar Tom Homan said today that the US Air Force will be providing aircraft to boost deportations to 5,000 individuals, representing a tenfold increase from the current figure of 500, meaning the rate of deportations is expected to accelerate as the administration gets underway.
The US Department of Homeland Security has estimated there were 11 million illegal migrants living in the US as of January 2022, with millions more believed to have entered the State during Democrat President Joe Biden’s tenure.
