Sometimes – and these days it seems to be most days – you’ll come across a headline which seems so absurd you think it must be untrue, or a wild exaggeration, or an example of the supposedly ubiquitous ‘fake news’ that has fact-checkers and the Ministry for Truth so exercised in these strange times.
Instead, it increasingly turns out to be yet another news report indicating we have still not hit rock bottom when it comes to the downright weird and creepy thinking behind decisions to show children decidedly inappropriate, highly sexualised materials.
