The 58-year-old would-be assassin of Donald Trump, Ryan Routh, appears to have expressed political views and made campaign donations that would indicate that he was a supporter of the Democratic Party.
While CNN and others briefly rehearsed another version of the “no evidence yet of any political motivation” in some of the early commentary on the second foiled bid to take out Trump, social media and other evidence strongly points to the contrary.
