The director of the company seeking to evict the remaining tenants of the Moyvalley Hotel apartments in County Kildare — and who told Kfm that “it is his intention to accommodate International Protection Applicants in the block of apartments” — previously pled guilty, in 2015, to breaching the Health and Safety at Work Act.
In 2015, Kawaljit Sandhu was then the owner of Gold’s Gym in London when it was fined £32,500 by Ealing Magistrates Court after the court found that “members and staff were exposed to toxic chemicals”. The Gym was also ordered to pay £12,603 to cover the legal costs of Ealing Council, and Sandhu was personally fined £17,500.
