This is an argument that might wash in the opinion pages of the Irish Times. I am unconvinced that it will persuade many of the locals in Roscrea, or elsewhere.
Apocalyptic language simply does not translate.

The Irish State funds this kind of thing because it reflects the view that Irish civil servants and decision makers have of themselves, and the country: A bit of a cut above.
But the bottom line, at this stage, is that Irish coverage of Boris Johnson has grown demented.
