Sinn Féin duplicity on the hate speech bill revealed by their own proposed amendments

Sinn Féin’s attempt to claim that they are now opposing the proposed hate speech bill because they always harboured reservations about it and because their amendments were  rejected simply does not stand up to examination.

Not only did every single Sinn Féin TD who was present when the legislation was approved by Dáil Éireann on April 26 last year vote to approve the measure, but their amendments in general were designed not to ameliorate the impact of the Bill on free speech, but to broaden its scope.

Worse not! It would be a nightmare to keep what we have. The problem is SF will bind with one of the other three Uni-Parties! This needs to be stopped by promoting independent parties that remain independent!

Yes, they are worse than the shower in government and that is saying something. As this article shows they are even more firmly under the control of the NGOS than FF or FG. Two years ago the NWCI held a public meeting outside Leinster House and invited Sinn Fein and Labour but not FF or FG.

Fickle party with nothing fresh or useful to offer the electorate. They failed dismally to differentiate themselves from their opposition.
They got it wrong. I’d like to see them take a hammering at the election

A massive drop in support for SF would be the best possible way to reject the NGOS.

Not “strictly to the point” – but – nevertheless – a further reminder that the Provos numbered amongst its members – “zealous Marxists” – is the movie – out now – depicting the Beit Art Collection Robbery – “masterminded” by – the now deceased – Rose Dugdale – the movie’s title is Rose’s War (Baltimore). It’s actually a fine movie (whatever I think of the actions of the persons involved) – with a strong central performance by Imogen Poots. Anyway, Rose Dugdale and the other members of the “robbery team” are depicted as avowed Marxists – and my understanding is that that was certainly true of Rose Dugdale – having gone through some sort of “conversion” to that ideology in Oxford University. Without – in anyway implying any current members of Sinn Fein were (or are) involved in that type of activity or, indeed, any criminal activity whatsoever – one must wonder whether the “flames of Marxist ideology” still burn in the hearts and minds of some serving Shinners – so, frankly, I do not believe those particular members are incapable of forming their views on “transgenderism”, for example. The basic attraction of a loosely worded Hate Speech law is its “chilling effect” and part of the Marxist’s “playbook” – as indeed it was of many Fascists in the 1930s and 1940s – is to create a climate of fear in which opponents are deterred from expressing their viewpoints. Probably very few Shinners would actually tolerate a biological male making his way into the space of women (at least women who support “The Party”) but the probability that the more trenchant views on transgenderism will emanate from the Right means that the Hate legislation could be waved at those on the Right – with all the attendant possibility of a prosecution – and, of course, those Shinners “salivating on the sidelines” as the process trundles through the courts……

We must reject SF. They all defied the Irish people and voted for the hate speech bill, because in their view, we must be denied our freedoms. They also sided with the government and cheered on mass immigration, even though their role was in opposition. When people on protests, asked their SF politicians for help, they turned their backs. The SF stance is that those opposing the dumping of migrants into their towns and villages, have ‘fear of the foreigner’ and are ‘creating division’ in society. SF are only changing their tune slightly, because they are losing support. All Sinn Féin want is to get elected and into power. They are globalists who want wide open borders. They are in favour of mass immigration and love the hate speech legislation because they are an authoritarian party. They all voted in favour of the hate speech bill, to restrict our freedoms and shut us down. They do not tolerate dissent. We must not vote for SF. We must vote for the new anti-immigration small parties and for anti-immigration independent candidates only, if we are to survive.

Sinn Féin have actually gotten Pa Daley to speak out against it –

https://vote.sinnfein.ie/vast-majority-of-the-eus-asylum-and-migration-pact-is-not-in-irelands-interests-pa-daly-td/

– but very, very quietly so it doen’t get traction.
Shows they’re afraid of the public mood on this and are relying on most people to be unaware of ihe Pact’s purpose and implications (see scattergun postings on the subject elsewhere for details)

Tell who you can,, get on to your reps/candidates, this needs to be stopped

I actually find it insulting them using a picture of Ireland in their logo. They are completely anti Irish. They will say anything now for votes. At least the rest don’t pretend to be pro Irish for votes. The game is up now lads, every Irish person knows what they have to do in the upcoming elections. Remove every traitor. Only then can we do the right thing by our people. They have suffered enough.

Matt’s articles contain huge insight, which I can confirm as a former member of Sinn Féin. The party’s long time membership base, often veterans of the period before the peace process, are frequently in awe of the apparently better educated, often new graduate membership intake. These leftist post peace process members are heavily represented in the serried ranks of “full timers” dotted all over the SF structures. There is no shortage of ideological identitariah nonsense being sucked into the organisation filling the vacuum left by the removal of old style nationalism from the party DNA. Old guard TDs and former TDs have almost developed a dual personality in presenting a different face to old school party members versus the new leftist apparstchiks. The heart of this organisation is now a faceless rather barren quest for power and respectability, there’s little debate, just a series of quasi religious “articles of faith” which serve the purpose of forging a degree of flimsy unity, these being the continued personality cult of Gerry, nostalgic recall on the deaths of old timers, and of course the obligatory veneration of all things “Palestinian” , the flag of which is now considerably more popular in SF circles than the Irish tricolour.

Thanks for that (and Matt’s article) which just confirms what I have suspected about Sinn Fein for some time. The party has been hijacked by dangerous ideologues. Unfortunately I don’t think enough of their members or supporters have coped on to that fact yet.

Absolutely and Ireland First and the anti-immigration independents. Niall McConnell has very good videos showing how badly Donegal has been affected. He is running in both local and general elections. The IFP have a candidate running for the council in North Donegal too. Donegal will be well served.

What a pity SF came away from their traditional Nationalist principles and chose every other principle under the sun instead.
They were poised to be an ideal alternative on the way back to this Country’s true identity.
They have/had great exposure in the political world – especially to the younger generation…. what a let down.
They’ve missed that boat now and no matter what they say now, I’d take with a pinch of salt.
I’ll be supporting IFP, Ireland First,Síol na hEireann and any Nationalist Independents that are emerging.
It’ll be a long road back but we’ll get there.

Yep, Sinn Fein has become the useful idiots of the NGO sector. Which is kind of ironic, because a great many Green Party members have been imbedded within the NGO Industrial complex for decades. So, in effect, you could say the Green Party, through their network of NGO’s has actually had a serious impact on the policies of those useful idiots in Sinn Fein!

Should NGOs like NWCI be allowed to spend money they receive from the Government on political campaigns?
