Sinn Fein TD Cronin has account deleted following Gript report

Newly elected Sinn Fein TD Reada Cronin has had her twitter account, and all 125,000 historic tweets on it, deleted this afternoon, following a report by this website that she had sent a series of controversial and anti-semitic tweets in the years prior to her election.

Gript’s Gary Kavanagh reported this morning that Deputy Cronin had shared content suggesting that Adolf Hitler was simply a pawn for the Jewish-owned Rothschild Bank, and that “international finance” was behind many European wars. Both statements are generally accepted to be anti-semitic tropes.

Cronin had also alleged that fluoride in the Irish public water supply was “poison” and that it was being used to “dull” Irish people.

She had also suggested that many members of the Irish judiciary might be paedophiles.

Sinn Fein has not publicly commented on the matter.

Cronin is a long-standing Sinn Fein activist, and was elected in the recent General Election for Kildare North, a seat that the party was not expected to win.

She had previously made the news this past weekend when the Sunday Times reported that she had accused Israeli intelligence of interfering in the recent UK election to prevent the election of Jeremy Corbyn as Prime Minister. Mr. Corbyn himself had been accused of anti-semitism in the run-in to that election.
