In a presidential first, Donald Trump will attend and address the March for Life on Friday – the largest pro-life event in the US, normally drawing hundreds of thousands of pro-life supporters

Although previous presidents, such as Ronald Reagan have sent messages to the March, Trump will be the first president ever to attend the event in person, having addressed the March via video previously.

Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life said: “We are deeply honored to welcome President Trump to the 47th annual March for Life. He will be the first president in history to attend and we are so excited for him to experience in person how passionate our marchers are about life and protecting the unborn.”

Trump and his administration have expanded conscience protections for medical practitioners who believe it is wrong to kill an unborn baby and opposed abortion expansion at the UN.

He has also appointed dozens of conservative judges to federal courts as well, including two justices to the U.S. Supreme Court.
