Mother of murdered 17yr old says she wishes she could see her son one last time

The mother of Keane Mulready Wood who was brutally murdered in 2020 has said she wishes she could see her son one last time and hear him say “I love you mam”.

Elizabeth Woods addressed the Special Criminal Court in a statement today saying that she prays for justice for her son’s ”inhumane, violent and barbaric death”.

She continued that her son’s murder was “one of the most brutal, tragic and horrifying murders in the history of Ireland”.

The court heard that the chief suspect in the murder of the teenager is Robert Lawlor, a “notorious” criminal who is believed to have had involvement in several murders before being shot dead in Belfast in April 2020.

Keane Mulready Woods’ dismembered remains were found in different parts of Dublin.

Shockingly, videos appearing to show his last moments were circulated online after his killing.

Mr. Justice Tony Hunt described the teenager’s murder as “truly horrific” and said the two men, Paul Crosby (27) and Gerard Cruise (49), who admitted to driving Keane to the house where he was murdered, would be sentenced next month.

The two men earlier pleaded guilty to facilitating the murder.
