Meet the protesters: Why locals are angry at the immigration policy being imposed on communities

Despite the bitter cold and wind, protests continue across Dublin as locals in Ballymun, Drimnagh, Finglas, Clondalkin and other areas oppose the government’s immigration policies which they say are imposing large groups of mostly male, unvetted migrants on their communities without consultation.

There was a palpable sense of anger from protesters at how the media, certain NGOs, and politicians are portraying their concerns. Here’s what some of them had to say.
