Gript journalist pepper-sprayed by Gardaí

Gript Media reporter Fatima Gunning was pepper-sprayed this evening by a member of An Garda Siochána in Newtown Mount Kennedy, despite having repeatedly and audibly identified herself as a working journalist.

Fatima Gunning is an example of what some of us remember as a proper journalist. Excellent work but take care of yourself out there. Ireland is no place for honest journalism anymore

Well done to Fatima Gunning for her courage and for reporting the truth of what is actually happening.
Without Gript and Journalists like Fatima, we would never know the truth.
Long live Gript.

Let’s see the reaction from the same journalists who were appalled at someone hanging a banner on O Gorman’s gate. The full force of the police under the direction of McEntee being used against the people yet the same force totally inept in dealing with illegal immigration.

Here’s the thing.
Readers here at gript.ie know how much government thuggery is happening to push the illegal immigrants into accommodation.
The people directly impacted and their families get it in the face.
But it’s not being reported to the majority of the people.
I had a young fellow defending o Gormans policy.
When I asked how he was getting on with finding a place for himself and his girlfriend friend which he’d mentioned earlier in the conversation.
And the incidents are related more closely than he thinks.
Suddenly a little bulb lit up!
Until such folks realise its causing huge issues going forwards on multiple aspects of their lives.
It’s hard to see enough of the entrenched political system being broken up until voters realise that the system isn’t interested in their welfare and the country in a long-term way.

Yeah, same exact here – some folk can’t join the dots when explaining how relative this situation is.🙄

Garda are really disliked these days due to them forcing thousands of unvetted asylum seekers into peoples neighborhoods near their Irish children.

Garda do not check asylum seekers against any criminal database, so its entirely possible that Garda are forcing criminals into peoples neighborhoods.

And ironic when stopped at a road block and asked for your licence (ID).

So the gardaí kick and baton somebody on the ground, and then pepper-sprayed the journalist to stop her filming what they were commiting.

Utter fucking scum.

These ‘gardaí’ need to be sacked, charged, jailed and stripped of their pensions, alongside the officers senior to them who gave them their orders. Up to and including Drew-Continuity-RUC-Harris.

I see the Irish Independent has copied and pasted the official Garda statement as their contribution to the coverage🤩🤩

Did you see the state of some members of the riot squad with their gorging stomachs. Clearly unhinged and ready for action against the hapless old timers women and children.
Harris this is your constituency.

The black in tans are in violation of their own code of conduct and have no legal rights to police after these events.
The Policing Principles established by the Garda Síocháná Act 2005 Policing services must be provided: • Independently and impartially, • In a manner that respects human rights, and • In a manner that supports the proper and effective administration of justice Effective and efficient policing depends on securing the confidence, support and cooperation of local communities and engaging with those communities.

Any force by the public in retaliation to defend themselves is perfectly ok.
Time to fight back people where you can.

On a separate note, I want to put out a warning to everyone who reads this and please pass this on. In september, the un is going for a power grap to take our sovereignty and destroy our nation which no doubt martin and the tea boy will sign us up to which will centralise decision making to the un. This will hand our country over to the un for the global world government which they are fast tracking because the people are all waking up. This is a million times worse than the who treaty. Warn as many as you can. https://www.un.org/en/summit-of-the-future

Thank you Fatima for the work you do on behalf of the Irish people. Sadly our democracy is in dire need of your journalism. I’m sorry that that puts you in danger. It is an outrage the way you were subjected to pepper spray. No RTE reporting of the incident nor from your fellow journalists. Shame on them!

There are many good Gardai out there who wouldn’t agree with this. I would encourage all gardai to look at what the government is doing to communities accross Ireland.

The government is facilitating criminal activity … 85% of asylum seekers destroy their documents or have fake documents on arrival at dublin airport. This is a criminal offence under section 20 of the international protection act 2015 YET the government is moving these people into communities accross Ireland. The Gardai must confront the government about this issue.

There are approximately 12/13000 gardai in the whole country,I’m sure some of them realise what’s happening to our country is wrong.
I’m not saying there should be violence against gardai, but we have 4,1/2 million natural Irish people 70% or more think this immigration crap has gone to far so we really do out number them,if the thugs in there heavy armour uniforms and riot shields are prepared to draw their battons and pepper spray on local people and proper journalists it’s only a matter of time until the guns are drawn.

Thanks so much Gript and especially Fatima Gunning!!
Shocking!!
Perhaps protestors should wear goggles. And if they had a supply of salty tear water in a spray bottle, just in case their goggles were torn off, they could spray it into their eyes to wash it away or dilute it.

Police Force thuggery has no place in Ireland, WeThePeople of Ireland want our country back. We will not allow a Totalitarian Democracy (J.Talmon, 1952) take root in Ireland. Shame on the senior management of the Catholic Church who have little to say on the topic of forced mass-migration but when they do, it is in lock step with the radical left regime in our country.

What have we come to

It looks like we now live in a police state. The government bully boys in uniform (similar to the black and tans during the dark times when Ireland was ruled by England ) seem to have a directive to harass and subdue the ordinary Irish citizens…who do not agree with the regimes forced policies. Can we really accept this government staying in power until next year when you consider the amount of damage they can do to our country during that time?? The opposition parties need to up their game and do better at pushing for an early election than they are.

Would you support a decision by Ireland to copy the UK's "Rwanda Plan", under which asylum seekers are sent to the safe - but third world - African country instead of being allowed to remain here?
