A man has been left fighting for his life after what Gardai described as a “serious assault” in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
Gript Media understands that a man in his 20s was the victim of a stabbing incident, described as involving multiple other parties. The incident took place in a laneway off Parnell Street, in central Dublin.
The victim was taken to Beaumont Hospital, and is described by Gardai as being in a “critical condition”. A garda statement said that the scene where the incident happened is currently preserved for technical examination by the Garda Technical Bureau.
Gardaí are further appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them at Mountjoy Garda Station 01 666 8600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
No arrests have been made, per the force, and investigations are ongoing.
At this stage, no information is available about the nationality of the victim.
