Could the upcoming referendum to expand the definition of “family” result in polygamous relationships being recognised under Irish law?
That’s a question that my Gript colleague John McGuirk first raised last year, and it’s a question which still has not received any clear answer. In fact, the matter now seems more confused than ever, particularly in light of comments made by Public Expenditure Minister Paschal Donohoe today.
