Robert O’Connor has been charged over the murder of his parents and brother in Co Louth.
Mark and Louise O’Connor, along with their son Evan, who was autistic, were found stabbed to death by at their home at Drumgowna, near Tallanstown in Co Louth yesterday morning.

Shortly after the discovery of their bodies, Robert – who was aged in his thirties – was arrested by Gardaí as he walked between Tallanstown and Louth village.
He has now been charged in connection with the murders this evening.
In a statement, gardai said: “The man (aged in his 30’s) arrested in connection with this investigation has since been charged.
“He is due to appear before a special sitting of Drogheda District Court this evening, Tuesday 30th September 2025, at approximately 6pm.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
