A breastfeeding conference which was the cause of significant controversy after it listed a US-based speaker, Jacob Engelsman, whose previous presentations included “Inducing Lactation for Kinksters”, has been paused – as demands grow for the HSE and Minister for Health to answer questions on the speaker invitation.
Engelsman was due to speak on ‘lactation support for gender diverse families’ at a conference organised by the Association of Lactation Consultants in Ireland (ALCI) – which is a HSE-sponsored body – for October 9th and 10th.
