Brussels has vowed to retaliate against any attempts to punish its online censorship regime following President Donald Trump launching a probe into the bloc’s regulation of American tech firms.
Senior officials in the European capital are claiming they could pull the bloc out of a recently agreed EU-US trade deal should the president’s probe into whether EU digital regulations are designed to penalise American firms result in the bloc being penalised.
