A woman in her 30s has been arrested after gardaí seized approximately €120,000 worth of herbal cannabis in Coolock, Dublin.
In a statement, Gardaí confirmed that she is being held at a station in the DMR North under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The seizure, which involved around six kilograms of cannabis, was carried out as part of a joint operation between Revenue officers, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and the Coolock District Drugs Unit.
Revenue described the operation as part of its “ongoing joint investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale, and supply of illegal drugs.”
It also urged businesses and members of the public with information on drug smuggling to contact Revenue confidentially at 1800 295 295.
Investigations remain ongoing.
