Irish Aid’s annual report for 2023, released late last year, contains the perhaps surprising detail that the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) received €1 million of the Irish taxpayer’s money that year, apparently as part of a funding agreement with other organisations involved in similar work.
The IPPF, for those who don’t already know, “is a global healthcare provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all”. Beneath that euphemistic language is the reality that it is, among other things and through its member organisations – including the original Planned Parenthood – one of the world’s largest abortion facilitators and advocates.
