Gardaí are investigating an incident of “criminal damage” against the North Face shop on Grafton Street earlier this week – the latest in a long string of acts of vandalism in the area.
It is unclear if any items were stolen. However, this represents the fourth attack of its kind against the Grafton Street North Face shop since December, with the front window of the shop being smashed in.
“Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage which occurred at a retail premises on Grafton Street, in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday, February 22,” a garda spokesperson said, as reported by the Independent.ie.

“No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.”
A wave of similar thefts have rocked Dublin’s most prominent tourist street in recent months, with the Hugo Boss shop on the same street experiencing two separate smash-and-grab robberies in January. In one incident, a car rammed into the front of the shop’s window, causing almost €10,000 of damage.
That incident took place in the early hours of the morning at 4:30 a.m., and an arrest has been made of a man in his 40s as of February 17th.
