As Niamh Úi Bhriain has highlighted here a number of times, there have been an increasing number of cases before the Work Relations Commission (WRC) involving the alleged exploitation of people who have come to live in the state having been issued with work permits.
While there is welcome attention to such exploitation, there has been little comment in the media or by political figures on the fact that not only are the people allegedly being exploited immigrants but so too almost invariably are the persons alleged to be exploiting them.
