A woman who was charged with helping a female and her son enter Ireland illegally before the pair claimed asylum, has avoided jail after appearing before the Circuit Criminal Court.
Rita Marouani (53) who prosecuting counsel, Pieter Le Vert BL said is a “Georgian national”, but has German citizenship, accompanied the mother and “young child” to Ireland on a flight from Zurich which arrived at Dublin Airpot on the 30th of March last.
