I know how to get the Metro built. We have to lobby some very wealthy businessmen to organise a ‘marquee sports event’ hosting the fancy sports stars and boom, and that bad boy will be built pronto.
It was reported last week that “a temporary train station is to be constructed in Adare, Co Limerick, as part of plans for hosting the Ryder Cup”. The work on the station is expected to take six months and cost around €3 million. The Ryder Cup will take place from 13 to 19 September next year.” I tweeted in response “Amazing how quick they can get the train station in if a load of rich golfers are arriving.” It got a big reaction.
