What are the chances? A contingent of an Garda Síochana spotted a famous GAA face in the crowd as they marched in St Patrick’s Day Parade in New York.
“Our members are never off duty! An Garda Síochána’s contingent that travelled to NYC to proudly take part in today’s parade scoped out well known GAA star,” they wrote on Twitter.
It was Jason Sherlock, the Dublin GAA legend, and one group of Gardai got so excited top meet the football star that they hoisted him over the barrier and joined him in their march in the parade.

“I’m an innocent man!” Jayo quipped. “Thank you to your members for welcoming me to the force!”
