Reek Sunday is one of those days with both historical and religious significance for Ireland.
30,000 people climbed Croagh Patrick last Sunday, in the traditional ascent remembering the nation’s patron saint.
This year, the Irish Air corps captured some of those pilgrims as the long line snaked its way up the mountain.

Blessed with a sunny day at the weekend, the climbers trekked up and down the mountain from 3am until nightfall.
