Mass migration poses an existential threat to Western civilization and undermines the stability of key American allies, the U.S. State Department has said – adding that it has instructed its embassies to report on policies that punish citizens who object to immigration.
In a hard-hitting statement released this week, the State Department said that countries in the West were enduring terror attacks and sexual assault as a result of mass migration – and listed the rape of thousands of girls by “grooming gangs of migrant men” as an example of concern.
“Mass migration is a human rights concern. Western nations have endured crime waves, terror attacks, sexual assaults, and the displacement of communities,” the statement said.
And the State Department said it would be working to encourage governments to “defend citizens” against the threats it perceived are being posed by mass migration.
“U.S. officials will urge governments to take bold action and defend citizens against the threats posed by mass migration,” the State Department announced.
It said that State Department officials “will also report policies that punish citizens who object to continued mass migration and document crimes and human rights abuses committed by people of a migration background.”
It said that “these issues have plagued citizens of Western nations for years” before listing examples including a high-profile Swedish sentencing – the rape of girls in the UK by gangs of men mostly of Pakistani heritage.
“In the United Kingdom, thousands of girls have been victimized in Rotherham, Oxford, and Newcastle by grooming gangs involving migrant men,” the State Department said. “Many girls were left to suffer unspeakable abuse for years before authorities stepped in.”
“In Sweden, an Eritrean migrant convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl was allowed to remain in the country after a judge ruled that the incident was not an “exceptionally serious crime” and did not warrant deportation,” the statement continued.
“In Germany, nine men – several of whom were migrants – were convicted for the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl. A German woman who insulted one of the rapists online was given a harsher sentence than the perpetrators themselves.”
The Department said that U.S. officials “will now scrutinize policies in Western nations that give leniency to migrant crime and human rights abuses or that create two-tiered systems that prioritize migrants at the expense of their own citizens”.
“The United States supports the sovereignty of our allies and calls on governments to constructively engage with the growing numbers of citizens concerned about mass migration.”
“The United States stands ready to assist our allies in solving the global crisis of mass migration,” the statement concluded.
Last month, Minister for Justice, Jim O’Callaghan, said that there is no link between asylum centres and crime levels in communities in Ireland. His predecessor, Helen McEntee, said last year that there is a false perception in Irish society that crime is on the rise because of increased levels of migration in this country.
Earlier this year, in a landmark speech at the Munich Security conference attended by leading politicians and policymakers, U.S. Vice-President JD Vance has lashed out at suppression of free speech and freedom of association in Europe – pointing towards censorship of political parties, of Christians, and of peaceful pro-life prayer activists.
Vance raised, as examples of threats to free speech coming from within, the annulment of a recent election in Romania, the conviction of a Christian activist in Sweden, and the prosecution of a man for praying for his aborted son at an abortion clinic in Britain.
“The threat that I worry the most about vis à vis Europe is not Russia, it’s not China, it’s not any other external actor. And what I worry about is the threat from within. The retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values, values shared with the United States of America,” he said in a blistering speech.
