The medical student who was at the centre of a high-profile controversy after alleging that she was mistreated by UCD when she sought allowances after an alleged rape has withdrawn her appeal against the High Court ruling that found the university had not failed to address her situation correctly.
The Independent reports that lawyers for the student told the Court of Appeal today that they had been instructed to withdraw the challenge. The court then struck out the appeal and made an order for the university’s legal costs.
