In what will likely turn out to be yet another windfall for the owners of the lands at Citywest, on Friday a special meeting of South Dublin County Council voted to rezone the golf course that was once the centre of a large and lucrative hospitality location.
The proposal from the Chief Executive was that around 22 hectares in total be rezoned. He argued that proximity to the LUAS and the need for new housing made it both a suitable and a necessary change from the current SDCC development plan.
