Old Ireland in Colour has shared a gorgeous old video of a man dancing on Inis Mór in 1929 which will shake today’s rainy day blues.
The footage of a man called Pádraig Ó Maoláin, who is blind, ag damhsa ar an seannós while some off camera plays a reel on a melodeon was shot in 1929
The project – which colourises old footage and photographs – has proved a huge hit for historians John Breslin and Sarah Anne Buckley, with two best-selling books produced.
