Several weeks ago I reported on a rather dowdy building at 95 Dorset Street Upper in Dublin’s north inner city which was the subject of an application for the provision of asylum accommodation by a company called Collen Assets which is part of a Hong Kong originated property investment fund.
In common with other recent applications which have emanated from the offices of Hughes Planners it is pitched in a subtly different way than most previous such notifications. Rather than seek approval for a “change of use” from residential to asylum, this one – along with the Hughes applications for Rosebank and Athlumney Cottage – seeks to retain the building as residential.
